2026 HMA Scholarship Awards

Since 2006, the Huron Manufacturing Association has provided HMA Scholarship Awards supporting over 100 Huron County youth.

We are honored again to offer the 2026 HMA Scholarship Awards, with various Scholarships in the following categories:

      • The Specialist High Skills Major & OYAP Scholarship is for students enrolled in a Huron County Secondary School in Grade 12, or for recent graduates, who participated in SHSM or OYAP Dual Credit, focused on Manufacturing related Trades.
      • The Apprenticeship & Pre-Apprenticeship Scholarship is for Huron County residents enrolled in a post-secondary skilled trade manufacturing-related Apprenticeship or Pre-Apprenticeship Program.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO APPLY:

Your Application (online or by email) MUST include all of the FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS to be considered for a Scholarship Award:

          1. In 450 words or less, explain what inspired you to pursue/explore a manufacturing-related career in trades and how this shaped your passion for your chosen field.
          2. How do you envision your career trajectory, and how will this scholarship support your goals (ex. pursuing specialization, starting your own business, purchasing tools).
          3. Please list related certifications you have completed.
          4. Current Resume.
          5. A letter of reference from a teacher or employer.
          6. Submit 1 or 2 photographs to support your application for the Manufacturing Scholarship.
