Susan Jared – Facilitator HMA
2019 to present
Susan Jared joined the HMA as a Facilitator in 2019 to support the Board of Directors in delivering the HMA mandate and supporting manufacturers in Huron County.
Susan’s background includes employment services, instructing adult learners, hospitality and retail management in Canada and England. Susan loves to create the plan of a new business – as a Certified Online Business Manager working with clients around the world. Her work provides the greatest satisfaction by organizing various client requests from her home office. She has previously managed and owned retail stores including a children’s consignment store in Kincardine.
Susan specializes in supporting businesses, professionals and associations with project management, administration, client contact and scheduling, facilitating events, and social media. She enjoys working remotely after many years with The Centres for Employment and Learning and the Avon Maitland District School Board, supporting clients, employers, and students and providing computer instruction and workshops.
Susan is pleased with the programs and projects the HMA has delivered to its’ membership recently including the School Bus Tours, Virtual School Bus Tour Videos, Scholarships, and the EAR Program. Most recently securing funding and building HMA GEARS to support manufacturers with employee attraction and retention.
Susan has lived in Cornwall England, Burlington Ontario, and most recently in Bruce and Huron Counties for the past 20 years. Susan’s children were born in Cornwall England where they all spent 10 years. Susan enjoys travelling to a new part of the world every year. Susan looks forward to retiring on the beautiful island of Nevis, sister island to St Kitt’s.
The Board of the HMA are fabulous to work with and Susan enjoys all of her responsibilities. The HMA GEARS project and Team have been an enjoyable addition to her time supporting Manufacturing in Huron County.
